Bryce

Hi, I'm Bryce. This is a picture of me with my lovely wife, Susan, taken at Christmas 2002. Between work, church and helping raise 4 children, I don't have much time for anything else. My hobbies include computers and home automation.

I am an electrical engineer turned programmer. I started my education at Holmes Jr College in Goodman, MS with an AA in engineering (1981). After graduating from Case Western Reserve University (1984) in Cleveland, OH, with a BS in electrical engineering, I started working for IBM in Boca Raton. While in Boca, I attended Florida Atlantic University and earned an MSEE in digital signal processing and VLSI design (1987). Shortly thereafter I went to Georgia Tech in Atlanta and earned a Ph.D. in digital signal processing (1992). I still work for IBM in the Software Group Technologies Center. Currently, I am involved with emerging internet and mobile devices such as cellular phones and PDAs. You can check out some of my work on IBM's alphaworks site. I have published numerous papers both inside and outside IBM, and have filed over 30 patents.
